One of the most famous pieces of nature in the world, the Antelope Canyon is only a few minutes away from Page. Located on the Navajo land, it is made of two separate sections known as the lower and the upper. We opted for the lower one as it is supposedly less crowded and we thought it was pretty cool that we had to climb down into it. Formed by erosion of the Navajo sandstone, this unique type of geology is breathtaking. As the sunlight enters the Canyon, it reflects beautifully and enhances the natural colours of the sandstone. Visiting the canyon requires booking a tour through one of the Navajo operators, especially for the upper one where they have a limited number of visitors per day.
