During our adventure we found out that Arizona is the home of “the World’s best preserved meteorite impact site on Earth”. Therefore, we had to stop and see it on our way back to Phoenix. Although not as visually impressive as everything else we have seen in Arizona, this place does a good job of engaging its visitors though its lookout view points and its Discovery Centre. The crater is a huge hole in the ground, but the science behind it is quite fascinating in my geeky opinion, of course. All in all, it was a good stop along the way. We even ran into some cattle that seemed to draw their entertainment from crossing the roads whenever a car was approaching… I think they were just looking for attention.
